Are you an organised, people-focused Project Manager who loves making things happen?

At NewOrbit, we build entirely bespoke, cloud-hosted software products that help our clients succeed. We’re looking for a proactive Project Manager to join our growing team, leading diverse projects and guiding clients through the journey of turning ideas into scalable software.

The Role

As a Project Manager at NewOrbit, you’ll thrive in a fast-moving environment where no two projects are the same. You’ll lead teams, keep stakeholders aligned, and ensure projects deliver real value. Success in this role requires flexibility, strong prioritisation, and the confidence to navigate complex situations.

Experience in the software industry is helpful but not essential. What matters most is your ability to manage projects in a multi-faceted environment and to learn and apply our Agile processes (Scrum and Kanban).

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Deliver milestones on time and within budget, adapting to change as it arises.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and assumptions to keep projects on track.
  • Analyse project data to identify trends, proactively addressing challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide clear reporting to senior management on status, risks, forecasts, and insights.
  • Apply basic Business Analysis to support requirement gathering.
  • Champion and improve project management methods, tools, and practices.

About You

  • Highly organised, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Able to lead and motivate teams in a collaborative way.
  • Comfortable working across multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Skilled at prioritisation and problem-solving under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) is an advantage, but willingness to learn is essential.

Why Join NewOrbit?

We work with a wide range of clients, on systems such as background checking, occupational health, payroll, benefits, recruitment, training, and accountancy. What they have in common: ideas we believe in and want to make a success.

At NewOrbit, we value smart people who share our drive. We deliver, we learn, and we go home — there’s no long-hours culture here.
